Our Partnership with St Mary's Junior School

Kingshill has a long-established, positive and supportive relationship with the nearby St Mary's Junior School, to which most of our children progress. The school is located on the same site, metres apart in fact! Throughout Year 2, the children are prepared for the transition to St Mary's through collaborative assemblies, shared playtimes and shared events.

Our very close and collaborative working relationship with St Mary's means you have peace of mind when the children leave us at the end of Year 2. At this point, the majority of our children progress to St Mary's. The exchange of knowledge and information is regular and purposeful between both the leadership and teaching teams and the administration team, all of which ensures continuity of learning and safeguarding and a smooth transition experience at the end of Year 2. 

Although you have to apply through Hertfordshire's Admissions Team during Year 2 at Kingshill, most children move on to St Mary's Junior School after their time with us.
